The police attached an GPS to a person's car without a warrant or even consent. They're the law, they should know all about the amendments. Especially since they are the law, just because you are the law doesn't give you the right to break it without punishment.
I don't believe it's right to put a tracking system on a persons vehicle without them knowing or giving consent. That person should have been protected from that by his right of the Fourth Amendment. The Fourth Amendment protects you from unreasonable searches and seizures. The police was wrong for doing that, and should get in trouble. If he had a warrant it may be a little different, but he didn't.
